The Plaza is a 4.7-acre existing strip mall with a freestanding restaurant/bakery at the southeast corner. Aside from the general site and landscape improvements, the remodel consists of creating a new architectural expression, such as, by providing mansards and parapet walls to conceal rooftop mechanical equipment, and adding towers between these elements. The arcade becomes a series of exposed trusses and a solarium at the anchor tenant. Existing arcade columns were enclosed in stucco-finished tubes and pavement patterns were added to create architectural interest.
